TWO Calls Snoop Dogg a Hypocrite For Anti-LGBTQ Screed

Snoop Brought Narcotics, Violence and Gangs to Pop Culture, But Now He’s Offended by a Gay Kiss, Says TWO

Delray Beach, FL – Fresh off singing at Donald Trump’s MAGA inauguration, the gangster rapper Snoop Dogg is posing as an avatar of right wing “family values.” He criticized the Disney movie Lightyear (2022) because it featured a lesbian storyline that included a kiss. It seems the hip hop singer, who became rich piping lurid songs into our car radios and living rooms about narcotics, violence and gangs, is now apoplectic over the mere inclusion of gay couples, says TWO.

The entertainer took his grandchildren to see Lightyear, a Pixar Toy Story spinoff, which is about the origin story of the human Space Ranger Buzz Lightyear. On the It’s Giving Podcast he whined about a montage of two women sharing a kiss and raising a child together.

“It fucked me up,” Snoop said. “I’m like, scared to go to the movies now. Y’all throwing me in the middle of shit that I don’t have an answer for. It threw me for a loop. I’m like, ‘What part of the movie was this?’ These are kids. We have to show that at this age? They’re going to ask questions. I don’t have the answer.”

“Snoop Dogg is a hypocrite who has no business lecturing on ‘family values’”, said Truth Wins Out’s Executive Director Wayne Besen. “His provocative music introduced an entire generation of kids to narcotics, criminal gangs and wanton violence. Parents were afraid to turn on their TVs and radios thanks to his vivid depictions of gratuitous sex and violent criminal activity. Yet, Snoop is suddenly a Puritan who wants to make gay couples invisible because he’s uncomfortable and refuses to educate himself.”

Mr. Dogg also said the movie experience led to a whole bunch of questions from his grandchildren about same-sex couples that he said, “I don’t have an answer for.”

“They’re like, ‘She had a baby — with another woman,’” Snoop recalled on the podcast, which appears to have since deleted his comments on the matter from the YouTube episode. “Well, my grandson, in the middle of the movie is like, ‘Papa Snoop? How she have a baby with a woman? She’s a woman!’”

“Snoop could have taken the opportunity to educate his grandchildren by saying that LGBTQ people exist and are our friends, family, neighbors and co-workers, who deserve dignity, respect and equality under the law,” said TWO’s Besen. “Instead, he portrayed unremarkable, loving gay families as dirty adult content that should be hidden from public view. This was a missed opportunity for Snoop to teach his grandchildren about tolerance and respecting peoples’ differences.”
