You know how you feel when you see a huge rat scurry across the floor of your favorite restaurant? It just ruins everything and you never see the place the same way again.

Well, that’s exactly how I felt when I saw Trump’s 20-foot, tacky logo cheapening what was a gorgeous building in downtown Chicago. It transformed a soaring tower into an eyesore.

I wish some pranksters would take down the “T” so it would read “RUMP” – because Donald Trump is an ass with no class. This sign is obnoxious and proves that the world’s biggest ego can outshine the world’s 12th largest building.

I agree with mayor Rahm Emanuel. His spokesperson Kelley Quinn said:

“Mayor Emanuel believes this is an architecturally tasteful building scarred by an architecturally tasteless sign.”

The City Council should never have approved that unbearable logo. Emanuel has asked his staff if there are options available for further changes. I certainly hope so.

That whole birther thing – questioning whether President Obama was a citizen – ruined the Trump brand. This guy has no credibility and is seen by most people as a pathetic clown. Why don’t we just put the word “Bozo” on a building in big lights?

Few of the other architectural masterpieces in downtown Chicago have gargantuan tacky logos tattooed on them. The Trump brand degrades our city and his logo is distasteful. I really hope they find a way to take it down.

It also sets a bad precedent. Every single egomaniac with money is now going to want to plaster their name or company logo on the side of buildings, which will degrade the skyline with their byline. Enough already!

Go back to New York, Mr. Trump. And for the record, I lived in New York City for many years. Most people don’t like him there either. They think he’s big mouth and an attention seeking blowhard.
